What are the chances of a successful pregnancy?

The chance of pregnancy after transfer of frozen embryos is currently 20-25%. However, only about 2/3 of embryos survive the thawing process, and therefore transfers cannot always be performed as planned. However, this still offers the greatest hope for both the frozen embryos and many infertile couples.

According to data reported to the CDC for 2004 through 2006 from most IVF centers in the United States, the pregnancy rate for embryo donation (adoption) cycles is 41.4 percent. In a research survey of 7 embryo donation programs including National Embryo Donation Center, the pregnancy rate was 44.7 percent and the live birth rate (lower than the pregnancy rate because of miscarriages) was 35.5 percent.
